A friend of mine does Honey , or well... its the bees that does the Honey and a friend of mine has bees. 

They live outside Hamburg at the ponds. 

It is a beautiful place and I could not resist getting some Honey for the shop. 

There is nothing added to this Honey , It is the real thing . 

We dont even have to put a list of ingredients on there , It is only Honey.

Stamps

I am having a lot of fun with stamps at the moment. Putting little olive oil bottles in the Olive trees was a fun idea I thought and with a nice etikett it became very decorative.

Our Kitchen, white and light!

Before and after pictures of our kitchen. 

We live in a 100 year old house, when we did our new kitchen we wanted a big surface with lots of light. We are a family of five and we very often have family and friends around the house. Therefore it was important with a kitchen with big working space and a place to gather around. 

It was a difficult room to plan as no walls are straight and we had almost no full walls for cupboards. We decided to focus on light and put in 2 meter high windows, as they are so big we put 

giljotine windows ,when you open them you feel like you are outside. 

The old floor was beautiful but had to go as we wanted floor heating and isolation. The new floor is also a concrete floor and adds a soft feeling to the contemporary kitchen.  

The wall color is called cemento.

Together with Denis Margot ,http://www.denismargot.be/ , we design a kitchen that suited our needs. 

the result is fantastic. All furniture is built on place and we used Hi-mac for the work spaces. We lowered the ceiling to place speakers and lights. Denis constructed a "box" for the fan to get it on the right height. We decided on two ovens one steam oven and one normal oven. The are both used daily. 

 The kitchen Island that sits 6 people  have a drawer fridge and a drawer for toaster and cornflakes. All to make family life simple. We find ourselves around the Island very often , cooking together ,talking and eating. The Island has 4 plugs under the table to easily plug in kitchen tools .

The only high cupboard in the kitchen holds the bread machine and the microwave.

Decoration job

 Decoration job , change of decoration in kids rooms and change of the color in the kitchen. We thought that the kitchen was a bit dark in black and repainted the doors. The wall of pictures of the family and drawings was very charming but a bit messy so we put selves to organise the frames.

The kids needed more space for friends and more color in their rooms, 

we used the things they already had and added a few things like a bunk bed for the boys room and some wardrobes to get things out of the way! 

Simple changes can make a big difference! 

Easter activities

11 fantastic little girls joined for the week of easter workshop , we combined dance , cooking and art work this year. It was a great week and the kids made amazing things. I am always a bit tired after a week like that but full of inspiration.

Flowers , after easter a new flower girl will start in the shop. Welcome to be inspired!

I could spend a lot of time  there to look at all the people and fresh veggies and fruits .

The walls in my atelje will get blackboard paint now,

 I know it is not new at all but I like it more and more! 

Specially with fresh flower or vegetables. 

The spring feeling in the atelier and in our house will be black grey and white with candle light!

Maybe it is a strange choice of colors for the spring and Ï am sure that some color spots will find its way here but my mind is in peace when the colors are simple and natural.

Making some changes....

Today I am trying to make some changes to my blog, but it is not easy! I can't change the size of the text of the Gadgets. Anyone knows how to do that? I will get there sooner or later so dont give up on me!
